Book Learning - A Hands on Experience

Mike Ligett

Wednesday, September 11

Lewis Katz
Fundamentals of Digital Printing

Mike will discuss his favorite photobooks and what he has learned from reading and studying them.
The session will be an unusual format; it will be a "hands-on” session with all members encouraged to grab a book from the dozens on display and “read” along as Mike discusses visual literacy and the insights and inspirations that he’s gained from his many photobooks. A few lucky members will have the chance to take home a book donated by Mike.
Mike is a local photographer, longtime CPA member and a past Board member. He started acquiring his own modest collection of photobooks almost 20 years ago and still starts most of his mornings with a cup of coffee and a photobook.
