The Cary Photographic Artists meets at 7:00 p.m., on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month at The Cary theatre, 122 E. Chatham St., Cary, unless otherwise noted. Map to Parking at The Cary - Please observe parking restrictions.

If you wish, come early at 6:30p.m. and join in our social time. It is a great opportunity to spend a few minutes catching up with friends, getting to know fellow members, introducing your guest around, exchanging ideas and generally having a nice time before the program starts!

Meeting Highlights

April 10 - Tommy White: Retouching, Adding Drama and Mood
Tommy is back to expand on the program he did for us last year. He will start with some of his straight out of the camera raw images and walk us through his process of bringing out his vision, accentuating important elements, minimizing distractions, etc. See some of Tommy's work and the workshops he leads at HERE

Travel Photography
Jim will offer his opinion and tips on: When and where to shoot, researching your location prior to getting there, what to carry when you travel From Jim: "This talk will be geared toward both beginner and intermediate photographers. Folks should walk away from this discussion with an understanding of the following core concepts:
1. Traveling light, yes or no?
2. How to get a postcard worthy shot.
3. How to quickly get your images posted to social media while traveling. It's really pretty simple. Lightroom workflow basics?
4. Common sense safety tips when traveling with your camera."
